In a beautiful and serene city, there was a pair of lovers. Everyday, they would go to the
seaside to watch sunrise and in the evening to watch sunset. Everyone who saw them would watch with envy.

One day unfortunately, she was badly hurt in a car accident. She lay on the hospital bed
motionless and did not wake up for days and nights. During the day, he would stay by the
side of the bed, crying out loud to his unconscious lover. During the night, he would run to the local church to pray to God, crying till his tears run dry.


A month passed but she never woke up. He has already tired himself out but he still struggled to hold on. Finally one day, God was touched by his sincerity and his undying love.So, God decided to him a chance. God asked, "Are you willing to use your life to trade?"He answered promptly without thinking, "Yes!" "Alright, I can have her awake soon enough, but you shall be turned into a dragonfly for three years... Do you want to do that?" "I do!" he answered promptly.


At daybreak, he was changed into a handsome dragonfly. Biding God farewell, he left for the
hospital immediately. Indeed, he found her awoke talking to a doctor. But he could not hear them. Few days later, she discharged from the hospital having fully recovered. She was unhappy. She looked everywhere for him asking everyone his whereabouts but no one knew. She never stop looking... not knowing the lover-changed-dragonfly has always been around her. Only that he could not shout, he could not hold nor hug her. He can only be beside her unnoticed. Summer passed and came autumn with a cold breeze blowing. He was force to leave. So, he flew once again for the last time onto her shoulder. He thought of using his wings to caress her face and use his tiny mouth to kiss her forehead, but she
would not be aware.


Time flies and came spring. The dragonfly could not wait to look for her. However, her familiar silhouette was standing beside a handsome muscular man. He almost crashed flying in mid air. Everyone was saying how badly injured she was and how the compassionate and cute the doctor was... And how naturally the love have grown between them and how happy she is now... The dragonfly was devastated... and in the next few days saw the doctor bringing her to the seaside they used to go, watching the sunrise at dawn and the sunset at dusk. Other than flying onto her shoulder at times, there is nothing he could do.
The summer was exceptionally long that year. The dragonfly felt terrible, hung his head low flying. He did not have the courage to face her anymore. She was always whispering to the doctor and basking in laughter. Their bliss is suffocating him.


It was the summer of the third year, the dragonfly did not dare to visit her as
frequently. She was always in the arms of the doctor and her cheeks kissed by the doctor.
Never did she noticed the poor dragonfly and never once did she remember her past with him. The end of the three years soon came. On the last day, she was to be wedded to the doctor. He flew into the church, and settled onto God's shoulder. He heard the lovers below exchanging their vows, "I do" and saw the bridegroom putting the ring on her finger and kissing together passionately. The dragonfly heartbroken, cried.


God sighed, "Have you regretted?" Drying his tears, "No!" God gave a faint smile, "So be it,
you shall be returned tomorrow." The dragonfly shook his head sadly, "Just let me be a dragonfly all my life..."
